Working for FoxSports International, our job was to tape games and produce highlight reels for overseas networks. The first match that I produced was yours, and you were playing Hingis, I believe. The other producers thought your match wouldn't be worth working on, but I saw you warm-up, and realized you had game. Sure enough, you did, played well, and you proved me correct. Having been a competitive player earlier in my life, I knew that you were very good. Anyway, I always enjoyed following you. You played a tournament in Oregon and I was in town and took in the match, that would have been around 2003. It's great that you're still playing, and I hope to see you compete in the US once again. Very interesting take on travel. I don't know if I have a travel destination that I myself tend to avoid but I think it makes sense that if you've had a bad experience someplace you might not want to return.
